1985: Citizens form St. Paul's Neighborhood Energy Consortium -- now the Neighborhood Energy Connection

1986: The organization starts St. Paul's recycling program

2001: Eureka Recycling is spun off as a separate nonprofit to expand the group's mission

2004: Eureka opens its Minneapolis recycling facility, which allows it to take on additional contracts in the suburbs.
