About 20 flights, mostly headed to Chicago's O'Hare Airport were canceled and 26 were delayed at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport because of a winter storm dumping snow in and around Chicago on Sunday.
People should check online or call ahead to see if their flight has been delayed, said airport spokeswoman Amanda Greene Guentzel.
Whenever there's a big snowstorm or severe weather in the country, there's an impact on other cities, she said.
"The air system is all interconnected, so when there's a major event somewhere in the country, it ends up having a domino effect," she said.
O'Hare reportedly had canceled about 1,300 flights due to snow as of 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
