Winona poised to nab Eden Prairie educator as new superintendent

School board members will visit Eden Prairie and report back before it's official

Winona Area Public Schools board has named an Eden Prairie school official as it's top choice to become the district's new superintendent. The school board whittled its three finalists to one -- Stephen West, the director of educational services with Eden Prairie schools.

According to the Winona Daily News, the decision hinges on a visit to Eden Prairie. Two board members will make the trek and report back to the board next month.Superintendent Scott Hannon is retiring.
