Three Rivers begins summer camp registration

January 11, 2014 at 9:47PM

It may be cold outside, but registration for summer camps in Three Rivers Park District begins Monday.

The district offers day camps for children ages 4 to 15 at many of its parks, most of which are in suburban Hennepin County.

The camps include nature exploration, outdoor recreation, golfing, fishing, farming and Minnesota history.

They are offered at nature and visitor centers, golf facilities, Gale Woods Farm and the Landing-Minnesota River Heritage Park.

Camp dates, times and fees vary. Many camps accommodate those with disabilities or special needs. Financial assistance is available for qualified individuals.

Early reservations are recommended. Prepayment and health forms are due at least two weeks before camps start.

The district is also interested in adult or teen volunteers 16 and older.
