Lynx update: This is the regular-season finale, and the game carries significant meaning aside from it being a potential preview of the WNBA Finals. Chicago's victory over Atlanta on Friday pulled the Sky (24-9) within one game of the Lynx (25-8) for the top seed in the league. That means the Sky — which beat the Lynx in overtime in Chicago on Aug. 11 — and the Lynx essentially have a one-game playoff for top overall seed, with home-court advantage in the finals at stake should they meet. Minnesota had a seven-game winning streak snapped in a one-point loss in Los Angeles on Thursday. C Janel McCarville missed Minnesota's OT loss in Chicago because of a concussion, while Seimone Augustus had 26 points on 10-for-19 shooting. F Maya Moore is third in the league in scoring (18.4), Augustus (16.3) is 10th.
Sky update: The Sky enters the game having won three in a row and nine of its past 10 games. G/F Elena Delle Donne is a lock for the league's rookie of the year award and is an MVP contender. It was her clutch three-pointer that sent the Aug. 11 game into overtime. Then she scored five of her career-high 32 points in overtime to lead Chicago to victory. She has scored 20 or more points 13 times and is fourth in the league in scoring (18.3). C Sylvia Fowles, another MVP candidate, had 31 points in the victory over the Lynx and is ninth in the WNBA in scoring (16.4) and first in rebounding (11.3). G Epiphanny Prince averages 14.7 points and 2.9 assists per game.
