You don't need to be a University of Minnesota student to appreciate the great deal at the Stadium Village outpost of Punch Neapolitan Pizza (802 Washington Av. SE., Mpls., 612-331-3122, www.punchpizza.com). Here's how it works: A plate-sized basic Margherita pizza — crushed tomatoes, mozzarella and fresh basil on a blistered, chewy crust — comes hot out of the wood-burning oven for just $5. Most additional toppings are $1 a pop. The shop's indoor-outdoor seating, ideal for sidewalk superintendents, is another plus.
