Fire & Ice Festival medal hunt beginsPlymouth's annual Fire & Ice Medallion Hunt will continue in the weeks leading up to the Fire & Ice Festival on Feb. 2 at Parkers Lake Park.
The 24th annual event, sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department, includes weekly clues for Plymouth residents to search for the medallion. There is no registration for the free event.
The resident who finds the medallion receives a $250 Visa gift card. Weekly clues will be on the city website, or call the Recreation Leisure Line at 763-509-5213 to hear the clues.
The first clue was released Jan. 10, and the other clues will be released on Thursday and Jan. 24 and 31.
The medallion is hidden on city property, above ground, and part of it will be in plain view. The prize will be awarded Feb. 2.
All Plymouth residents are eligible except city employees and their families.

Hopkins Pavilion hosts skate sessionsThe Hopkins Pavilion at 11000 Excelsior Blvd. will host open skate sessions on Sundays from 1-2:30 p.m. No sticks or pucks are allowed.
Weekday "Sticks & Pucks" sessions are held daily from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for adults and from 12:30-1:30 p.m. for all ages.
