Hundreds of home buyers in Dakota County will be able to share $30 million in financing.

In addition to low-interest mortgage financing, there's up to $10,000 for a down payment and closing cost assistance through the Dakota County Community Development Agency's First Time Home Buyer Program.

About 200 home buyers are expected to partake, at an interest rate of 3.25 percent.

In addition to first-time buyers, people who have not owned a home in the past three years also may be eligible.

The program covers single-family homes, townhouses and condos in Dakota County worth up to $276,683.

Income limits are $83,900 for a one- or two-person household and $92,290 for a household of three or more.

Buyers must complete an approved home buyer education course to be approved for the program.
