Hungry shoppers at the Fulton Farmers Market can't help but follow their nose to Big River Pizza. Owner Steve Lott's wood-burning pizza oven on wheels turns out beautifully blistered pizzas, often topped with seasonal ingredients sourced from his fellow market vendors. Breakfast? Check out the pizza topped with arugula, sausage, bacon jam and a runny baked egg. 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, through Oct. 27.

Now's the time to stock up on the pastas, crackers, marshmallows, cheeses and other must-have pantry items that are the specialty of Very Prairie proprietor Susan Dietrich. The lattice-top pies fall into the out-of-this-world category. 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, through Oct. 27.

At Cafe Palmira, you'll not only warm up with a cup of the deeply aromatic coffee, you'll meet the farmers who raised the beans: Carlos and Katie Palacio and their family nurture coffee trees at the Palacio farm in the northwestern highlands of Guatemala. (The Palacios also operate a stand at the Mill City Farmers Market). 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays through Oct. 28.
