To help homeowners who need access to the Internet and fax machines to file claims and forms, three Hennepin County Library branches in Minneapolis -- Northeast, 2200 Central Av. NE.; Pierre Bottineau, 55 NE. Broadway St.; and Sumner, 611 Van White Memorial Blvd. – were open Monday from 1 to 8 p.m.

The libraries, normally closed on Mondays, also provide "space for the community to come together," Library Director Lois Langer Thompson said. - Kevin Duchschere
