After getting two speeding tickets within a couple of months, an Andover man knew his insurance rates would go up.
He wasn't, however, expecting that he'd be penalized more than a drunk driver.
He went from paying about $700 a year to more than $1,800 a year.
"I have more strikes against me than an at-fault DUI accident," he said.
His insurance company's penalty calculation meant he had 15 points against him for the two speeding tickets -- which were both for driving less than 10 miles over the speed limit. A driver with a DWI or an at-fault DWI accident would be penalized 13 points.
