This is a tale of sadness and great woe.After the big snowfall, you finally finish clearing off your driveway, andthere is a feeling of contentment for a job well done. Then you hear it! Ohno, it can't be... IT IS! The abominable snow monster (AKA snowplow) isrounding the bend. For a moment, hostile thoughts enter your mind like gettinga bazooka to stop the beast, but alas it's too late to take action. Withinseconds, the monster growls past and all the tons of snow you just shoveled areback. What a horror story! The thing of it is the snow that was pushed back isall wet and slushy and weighs four times as much as it did. Plus the plowingaction has buried the end of the drive under three times as much snow as therewas before.
So what's left to do? Not much except utter a few choice words and get back tothe task at hand. The couch and a cup of coffee will have to wait awhilelonger.
By the way, ever notice that your children are equipped with some sort of innerradar that warns of situations like these. Yep, mine always showed up just as Iwas putting the shovel back in the garage. Then they would say, "hey dad, needany help?"...
