Warning: This music video might make those of you descended from Midwest farmers burst with pride and/or bawl like a baby. It's for the song "Steel Mule" from Rochester area country stalwarts Six Mile Grove, and it's a tribute to singer Brandon Sampson's and drummer Brian Sampson's 87-year-old grandfather, Russell, who still farms the family's homestead in southern Minnesota and lives there with his wife of 60 years, Gladys.

Emmy-winning Minneapolis videographer David Dennison was so smitten with the song and the band, he conceptualized the video and went down and shot all the footage on the farm. His work has drummed up more than 13,000 views on Youtube in just a few weeks. Now comes word that Farm Aid will be featuring it on their site, as the band hopes to use it to raise money and awareness for Willie Nelson's unquestionably great organization (I point that out in light of Willie's legal troubles). Six Mile Grove will be promoting the video and the cause with a Minneapolis gig Saturday at the Aster Cafe.
