FOXBOROUGH, MASS. -- Brett Favre, who started Sunday against the Patriots despite a fractured left ankle and heel, left the game in the fourth quarterback because of a laceration to his chin suffered when he was hit by defensive lineman Myron Pryor.

Favre's return was listed as questionable but he went to the locker room on a cart with Vikings athletic trainer Eric Sugarman holding a towel to Favre's chin. Tarvaris Jackson replaced Favre and threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to Naufahu Tahi and then a two-point conversion to Percy Harvin.
