Shimano hits an attractive price point with its new Caenan baitcasting reels, priced at $89.95. Gear ratio is 6.5:1, good for throwing a variety of baits, worms to cranks. Designed as the newest baitcasters increasingly are to cast very light lures. (The newest, slipperiest braided lines help here, too.) Caenans include six stainless steel ball bearings and Shimano's VBS braking system.
