'Queen's Fence (Caricina Ograda)'
Opens Friday: Known in the Twin Cities — and sculpture parks around the country — for his robust granite sculptures embellished with steel rods, Zoran Mojsilov turns an aesthetic corner for his new show. Inspired by ancient designs of the Pirot Kilim rugs woven in his ancestral village in Serbia, he has translated rug imagery into carved and stained wood sculptures. Many of the rug patterns date to the Middle Ages. Mojsilov has reinterpreted them in three dimensions while retaining their ancient associations with marriage, childbirth and other life passages. (Ends April 30, free. Bockley Gallery, 2123 W. 21st St., Mpls. 612-377-4669, bockleygallery.com.)
