Art Cars + Art Bikes Parade

Saturday: All grown up now, the 21st annual event will lure all the usual stars to flaunt their finery for one glamorous evening. Expect to spy cars encrusted with wine-bottle corks, bottle caps and crockery. Covered in AstroTurf, music or graffiti. Sporting streamers, bowling balls, antlers, a gigantic lipstick and who knows what all. We regret to report that the popular "couchmobile" has died. But happily the "TOYota" lives on, as does the Yellow Submarine and the Dragon. Harry Potter fans will welcome a new Phoenix car. And the Polar Bear Bicycle — pedaled by 10 people inside a polar bear — is expected. BYO funny hats, picnic food and lawn chairs. The cars will fall in line at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Minneapolis Rose Garden and commence cruising around Lake Harriet at 6. Free fun for all.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
