Art Park to celebrate founder's new book

Caponi Art Park will host a party next Sunday to celebrate the release of Anthony Caponi's new book, "Meaning Beyond Reason," which explores ideas that have guided his artwork and everyday life since childhood.

The public is invited to meet the author and founder of Caponi Art Park from 1 to 4 p.m. at the park, 1220 Diffley Road in Eagan. Signed copies of the book will be available, and Caponi will read from the book at 2 p.m.

LAKEVILLE

Auditions set for play at Arts CenterExpressions Community Theater is holding auditions for its next play, "You Better Watch Out," on Monday at the Lakeville Area Arts Center, 20965 Holyoke Av. in Lakeville.

The play, by Don Hodgins, has a family-friendly theme. Set at a bed and breakfast, it features three travelers stranded in a Christmas Eve snowstorm. Casting will include five male and two female roles. Performances are scheduled for the Lakeville Area Arts Center Nov. 11 to 13 and Nov. 18 to 20.

Auditions are scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, with callbacks at 6:30 p.m. Thursday if necessary.
