The man was arrested by the Minneapolis Police Department's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team, police spokesman Corey Schmidt said.
Just before 1 a.m. Saturday, the woman was walking to her vehicle in Ramp B at 516 2nd Av. N. with several other women when a man stole her purse at knifepoint, police said. She was still in serious condition Thursday at Hennepin County Medical Center.
Another woman received a minor cut to her hand during the altercation but didn't need medical attention, police said.
After the murder of George Floyd, the city felt unified behind new initiatives to prevent violence. Now it seems like no one can agree.
