Brawl mars Saints' loss to Wichita The St. Paul Saints and the Wichita Wingnuts had a bench-clearing incident in the ninth inning as the Wingnuts beat the visiting Saints 5-2 Saturday night.

The Saints' Kevin Sullivan approached the mound after Byron Embry's first pitch was thrown behind him. The benches emptied and a scrum broke out behind home plate involving numerous players. There were multiple ejections on both sides.

The bench-clearing melee overshadowed a game in which the Saints took the lead in the second inning on a solo homer from Brent Krause. It was Krause's fourth homer of the season.
