Area FCS roundup: North Dakota rallies, wins share of Big Sky title

Deion Harris returned an interception 40 yards for a touchdown with 2:43 to play and North Dakota rallied to defeat Northern Arizona 38-31 on Saturday in Grand Forks, N.D., for its ninth consecutive win and a share of its first Big Sky Conference title. The No. 10 Fighting Hawks (9-2, 8-0) trailed 31-10 early in the third quarter. Blake Kemp passed for 416 yards for the Lumberjacks (5-5, 4-3).

South Dakota State 28, South Dakota 21: Quarterback Taryn Christion rushed for two touchdowns, including the go-ahead score with 4:39 left in the fourth quarter, as the No. 12 Jackrabbits (7-3, 6-1 Missouri Valley) beat the Coyotes (4-6, 3-4) in Brookings, S.D. Former Gophers quarterback Chris Streveler passed for two TDs and rushed for a TD for South Dakota.

North Dakota State 41, Indiana State 17: Darrius Shepherd returned a punt 84 yards for a touchdown and quarterback Easton Stick rushed for two TDs as the No. 4 Bison (9-1, 6-1 Missouri Valley) defeated the Sycamores (4-7, 2-6) in Fargo, N.D. North Dakota State rushed for 243 yards, averaging 6.9 yards per carry.
