Division II

Bemidji State (8-3) vs. Washburn (7-4), noon Saturday

Bemidji State and Washburn meet in the Mineral Water Bowl — the only sanctioned bowl game for NCAA Division II teams — in Excelsior Springs, Mo. The Beavers, making only their second postseason appearance, were the NSIC North Division runner-up. The Beavers have been led by junior Jordan Hein, who has passed for 2,746 yards and 27 TDs despite missing two games. Hein is the school's career passing leader. … Washburn (Topeka, Kan.) finished in a tie for fourth in the MIAA. The Ichabods' losses have been to four teams — three of which made the Division II playoffs — with a combined 37-7 record. This is the first meeting between the two teams. The Beavers' first postseason appearance was in 2006, when they lost to Pittsburg State in the Mineral Water Bowl.

Division III

Wis.-Oshkosh (11-1) at St. Thomas (12-0), noon Saturday

Wisconsin-Oshkosh, ranked No. 5 in Division III, is making its second consecutive appearance (and third in the past five years) in the Division III quarterfinals. Last Saturday the Titans, whose only regular-season loss was by three points (17-14) to Wisconsin-Whitewater, pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 31-14 victory over St. John's. The Titans are averaging 41 points per game, while allowing 12.3 points. … The host Tommies, ranked No. 3 in Division III, have been dominant in their first two playoff victories (43-0 and 55-6). The winner will advance to play the winner of the John Carroll/Wisconsin-Whitewater game on Dec. 10. The Titans and Tommies met in the 2012 semifinals, with the Tommies winning 28-14.
