The Anoka-Hennepin School Board is now accepting applications for the seat formerly held by Scott Wenzel who died unexpectedly last month.

The board will review applications and select candidates to interview in late January. The new board member will be appointed by the board at its Feb. 23 meeting.

To be eligible to serve, applicants must be 21 over and live in District 5 for at least 30 days at the time of their appointment. District 5 covers parts of Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Fridley and Coon Rapids.

Applications will be accepted through Jan. 16. They are available on the district website or by calling 763-506-1002.
