An 87-year-old Apple Valley woman who suffers from dementia and who had been missing for about 24 hours was found safe in Inver Grove Heights late Friday, Apple Valley police said.
Barbara Musil had been last seen at her Apple Valley home on Thursday when police asked for help in finding her earlier Friday. She was believed to have been driving a gray 2010 Ford Escape with Minnesota license plates, and was not dressed for cold weather.
After detectives learned that she had stopped at several gas stations, including one in New Ulm and another in St. Paul, she was located in Inver Grove Heights, they said, thanking the public for its help.
