Anyone here understand Tree Swallow?

Perhaps all we need to know is what we see

I don't think that birds get emotional, like for an argument, but I wish I knew the motivation for the exchange this pair of Tree Swallows recently had. It looks instense. They had been investigating a tree cavity. This took place on the golf course where I maintain nesting boxes, two of which were about 20 feet away.
