Another wild Wednesday expected at Winter Park

Another week of drama begins as Vikings return to work

October 27, 2010 at 2:38PM

We're settling in for what likely will be another crazy day at Winter Park as the Vikings begin preparations for their game against the New England Patriots on Sunday.

All eyes will be on quarterback Brett Favre and his injured left ankle of course. Favre typically has his weekly press conference on Wednesday but it's unclear if he will be available to address the media. Favre has two small fractures in his left ankle and his availability for Sunday's game is in question.

It won't be surprising if the team elects to cancel Favre's media session. The Vikings practice at 12:45 p.m. so we'll see if Favre is even on the field for that.

Randy Moss' return obviously is another big story line this week. Moss has declined several interview requests the past week or so. It's unclear if he will speak to reporters this week about his return to New England where he played for three-plus seasons before being traded on Oct. 6.

We also have conference calls with Patriots coach Bill Belichick and wide receiver Wes Welker this morning. We'll blog highlight from those shortly.

Check back throughout the day for updates.
