Another low price leader in the local wine market

Merwin Liquor in Minneapolis and Maplewood is another great spot for low prices.

Earlier this monthI wrote about wine retailers in the Twin Cities with everyday low prices. I found Chicago Lake Liquors and Hennepin Lake Liquors in Minneapolis to have the lowest prices. Readers who commented on my blog mentioned that Merwin Liquor in Minneapolis and Maplewood also have low prices. In fact, Merwin's prices on the seven wines I compared were as low as Chicago Lake's after the fact, although I did not compare prices there before the article ran.

Like Chicago Lake, Merwin's is best known for its liquor prices. Few wine lovers will probably find those unusual, rare wines at Merwin or Chicago Lake but they're excellent for most of us. And it's nearly impossible to beat their everyday low prices except during a sale.

If you'd like to see which which i compared, here is the chart. Merwin's prices are as follows:

KJ Chard $10.99

Santa Mar. Pinot Grigio $16.99

Kim Crawford Sauv Blanc $12.99

Beringer White Zin $3.99

Yellow Tail Shiraz $4.95

Beringer Knights Valley Cab $19.99

Cavit Pinot Grigio (1.5 liter) $9.99
