A little friendly competition got heated when "Pitch Perfect 2" star Anna Kendrick stopped by CBS' "Late Late Show" to challenge the host – and her "Into the Woods" co-star – James Corden to a Riff-Off, inspired by the sequel.

The two musically-inclined actors got into character by donning sweat suits and bringing out famous a capella group The Filharmonics, Kendrick's "Pitch Perfect 2" co-stars and NBC's "The Sing-Off" contestants.

Corden kicked things off in the "See Ya Later Songs" category with a rousing rendition of *N Sync's "Bye Bye Bye," but Kendrick later tied the whole thing up in "Songs That Will Kill You" by singing "Love Is a Battlefield."

The two got back into each other's good graces by finishing the Riff Off together with "Weather Songs," singing "Ice Ice Baby" and "Walkin' On Sunshine."

"Together, like 'Into the Woods' style,' said Kendrick.

"Pitch Perfect 2" is now in theaters and is headed towards a $64 million opening weekend, towering over the other new movie opening, "Mad Max: Fury Road."
