CNN's Anderson Cooper will moderate the first Democratic presidential debate, multiple media outlets reported Wednesday.

The debate is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 13, and will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The first debate for the Democratic presidential candidates will pit democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton against Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee and former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb.

The network also hosted two Republican presidential debates on Wednesday. One featuring the 11 highest-polling candidates and a preceding debate featuring those who didn't make the cut. Both were moderated by CNN host Jake Tapper.
