Pawlenty vetoes health care fix from DC

Gov. Tim Pawlenty made good on his threat and vetoed the Legislature's extension of health care for the poor.

The governor said the measure, which passed the House and Senate by overwhelming margins Thursday, does not address "fundamental cost issues" and spends money Pawlenty has already unalloted once.

"Those same dollars cannot be used twice," he wrote.
