Zooey Deschanel, thinking how badly she wants a TV critic to visit her.
LOS ANGELES - The Coachella Music Festival was on Zooey Deschanel's mind. The day before this year's musical lineup was announced, Deschanel provided a personal tour of her "New Girl" set, pointing out that there's a Coachella poster hanging in one of the male roommate's bedrooms. It just happens to be from the year her band, She & Him, performed.
A tour being led by TV's hottest star can get a little awkward. "I feel like I'm invading your personal bedroom," I said when she was explaining the choice of the bedsheets. "That's because you are," she accuratley pointed out.
So what does the cast do to relax between takes? "We play catch," she said. "I LOVE catch."
Deschanel has other reasons to feel upbeat. In addition to a Golden Globe nomination, she'll have hunky Dermot Mulroney as a love interest in upcoming episodes.
