Five north metro goaltenders are finalists for Let's Play Hockey's Senior Goalie of the Year Award: Madison Denny (Andover), Tori Herrmann (Elk River/Zimmerman), Tara Hoverstad (Blaine), Gillian McDonald (Irondale) and Katie McLain (Anoka). Every goalie besides McDonald plays in the Northwest Suburban Conference.
Elk River/Zimmerman forward Jonna Curtis is a Ms. Hockey semifinalist.
The five finalists for the Senior Goalie of the Year Award will be named in the Feb. 9 edition of Let's Play Hockey, while the five Ms. Hockey Award finalists will be named in the Feb. 16 edition. The winners of both awards will be announced Feb. 26 at the Ms. Hockey Awards Banquet at the St. Paul RiverCentre.
