1. Blue Jays: A full season of SS Troy Tulowitzki and RHP Marcus Stroman. The reigning MVP in Josh Donaldson. RHP Drew Storen added to the bullpen. And bat flips.
2. Astros: Baseball in Houston is back, because SS Carlos Correa already is in MVP discussions for a team ready for more than reaching the division series.
3. Indians: This team can pitch, which is more than half the battle. Lineup gets boost from SS Francisco Lindor and moving Carlos Santana off first base to DH.
4. Royals: Many are predicting a big drop-off, but it's hard to do that here because they pitch, play defense and have an offensive style that works.
5. Rangers: 2B Rougned Odor is going to be a star in a good lineup. Texas can score runs, and Yu Darvish will join the rotation during the first half of the season. Watch out.
6. Red Sox: LHP David Price is a big addition to the rotation, and the bullpen is strong. It comes down to what youngsters Mookie Betts, Jackie Bradley Jr. and Travis Shaw can contribute.
7. Twins: Their lineup should be more productive. Their bullpen should be better. Rotation should be reliable. Just not enough to top the Royals and Indians in the Central.
8. Yankees: They can score runs. Their bullpen will be one of the best ever. But they have too many injury concerns and aging core players to be a factor.
9. Tigers: RHP Jordan Zimmermann, OF Justin Upton and closer Francisco Rodriguez are upgrades. IT doesn't add up to 15 more wins, though.
10. Rays: It's RHP Alex Cobb's rotation. LHP Matt Moore is back. OF Kevin Kiermaier is splendid in center. Just not enough in a stacked division.
11. Mariners: New GM Jerry Dipoto has overhauled the roster. There's thump in the lineup, but they don't have enough pitching to turn things around.
12. White Sox: The addition of Todd Frazier a big boost, but the starting rotation lacks depth, and somehow the White Sox mess things up in the end.
13. Orioles: They will hit plenty of home runs. But manager Buck Showalter likes defense, and he's not going to be happy about his corner outfield play.
14. Athletics: After blowing so many late leads in 2015, Oakland retooled its bullpen. But the starting rotation won't scare anyone, and the offense is no better than functional.
15. Angels: They are stuck with some aging players — Albert Pujols, Jered Weaver — making a lot of money. Already seems as if they are wasting Mike Trout's best years.
