Allen finishes 80th in NFL Network rankings

The Vikings defensive end is rated among the league's top 100 players.

Vikings defensive end Jared Allen was ranked 80th in the NFL Network's "Top 100: Players of 2011."

The rankings for players Nos. 80 to 71 were announced Sunday as the countdown continued. Player voting was used to determine this list.

Allen is one of 13 defensive ends to make the list, which ranks as the second-highest position represented. There are 18 wide receivers in the rankings.

Allen was acquired by the Vikings from Kansas City in a draft-week trade in 2008. He had a team-leading 14.5 sacks in 2008 and 2009 and 11 sacks in 2010.

Here are the rankings that were unveiled Sunday:

80. Jared Allen, Vikings, defensive end

79. D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Jets, offensive tackle

78. Dallas Clark, Indianapolis, tight end

77. Chris Snee, Giants, guard

76. Santonio Holmes, Jets, wide receiver

75. Jay Ratliff, Dallas, defensive lineman

74. Greg Jennings, Green Bay, wide receiver

73. Trent Cole, Philadelphia, defensive end

72. Tony Romo, Dallas, quarterback

71. Mario Williams, Houston, defensive end
