All lanes open on I-94 near Monticello after crash

July 26, 2011 at 5:09PM

An erratic driver northwest of the metro rolled his vehicle Tuesday morning as state troopers pursued, knotting up traffic on a stretch of Interstate Hwy. 94 for most of the morning..

The incident began about 7:15 a.m. on westbound I-94 near Monticello, according to the State Patrol.

Westbound traffic was halted so authorities could investigate the crash, which happened about 15 minutes later. One lane on the eastbound side also had to be closed.

A medical helicopter responded to the scene and picked up the injured driver, who was thrown from the vehicle, the patrol said.

By about 11:50 a.m., all lanes were back to normal.
