A 32-year-old man missing for nearly a week was found dead Wednesday in a western Minnesota lake, roughly 2 miles north of where a relative said were the man’s last known whereabouts, authorities reported.
The body of Ryan C. Johnson was found by the Douglas County dive team about 10 a.m. in Lake Agnes, on the north side of Alexandria, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Johnson, of Alexandria, was last seen on April 6, and searchers had been going out since Monday along the shore of lakes Agnes and Henry.
A relative posted on Facebook over the weekend that Johnson met friends Thursday at a bar on the south end of Alexandria, stayed for roughly 10 minutes and left to walk to a friend’s house. He never made it, the relative wrote.
A cause of death has yet to be determined.
