A pickup truck driver accused of fatally hitting a pedestrian at a Wright County intersection remained jailed Monday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Kent. C. Mattson, 55, was arrested Friday evening after he allegedly ran over a 59-year-old man at Hwy. 12 and 10th Avenue in Howard Lake, according to the State Patrol.

Richard J. Jacobs, of Waconia, Minn., was taken from the scene to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he died.

Mattson, of Howard Lake, is being held pending a charge of criminal vehicular homicide, the patrol said.
