The State Patrol has identified the woman killed in a rollover crash early Monday on I-35W in south Minneapolis as 29-year-old Antionette Shenice Fondren.

Fondren was driving south in I-35W near 26th Street around 2:25 a.m. when she lost control of her Dodge Durango and struck a guardrail. The Durango rolled and Fondren was ejected. She died at the scene, the State Patrol said.

Fondren, of Minneapolis, was not wearing a seat belt. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash, the patrol said.

A passenger in the vehicle, identified by the patrol as Jimesha Charece Williams, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with critical injuries, the patrol said.

Williams, 29, of Minneapolis, was wearing a seat belt, the patrol's report said.

Two southbound lanes were closed for more than 3 hours following the wreck. The ramp from eastbound I-94 to southbound I-35W was also shut down until the scene was cleared about 5:45 a.m., the Minnesota Department of Transportation said.
