PETERSON'S BIG NUMBERS

• Adrian Peterson rushed for 296 yards, an NFL record, against San Diego in 2007.

• After four seasons, Peterson has 5,782 yards, sixth most in NFL history by a player entering his fifth season.

• He is the first Vikings player to lead the NFL in rushing (1,760 in 2008).

• The four-time Pro Bowl selection had 1,298 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns last season.

• He has more rushing yards and more touchdowns (51) than any NFL player in the past four seasons.

• His per-game rushing average (94.8 yards) is third best in league history, behind Jim Brown (104.3) and Barry Sanders (99.8).
