Vikings running back Adrian Peterson had surgery today in Alabama on his injured left knee, with renowned surgeon Dr. James Andrews repairing torn anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments.
This afternoon, head coach Leslie Frazier released a statement through the team's website. Said Frazier: "We've received word that Adrian underwent successful knee surgery with Dr. James Andrews and is now resting comfortably. Adrian is in our thoughts, we wish him a speedy recovery and we look forward to seeing him when he returns to Minnesota."
Peterson suffered the injury early in the second half of last Saturday's 33-26 Vikings win at Washington.
