Even though she could easily fill a theater now, golden-voiced British singer Adele is playing it cool on her just-announced North American tour and planning to perform at First Avenue on May 26. Presale tickets go on sale via her site Wednesday, and general on-sale will likely be Friday. The 2009 Best New Artist winner at the Grammys (now 22) should have no trouble avoiding the sophomore slump with her strong second album, "21," which comes out Feb. 22. Local boy Dan Wilson of Semisonic fame co-wrote three of the songs on the new album, which also features collaborations with OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder and Florence & the Machine cohort Paul Epworth. You can hear Epworth's influence in the single "Rolling in the Deep" (video posted below). The entire album is streaming for free at NPR's First Listen site.

In other concert news, LCD Soundsystem has announced details of its supposed final show: Dubbed "The Long Goodbye," it will take place April 2 at Madison Square Garden in New York. The band is promising a three-hour affair with a choir, string section and guest artists. Details are on the LCD site.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
