Adapted soccer state tournament underway

Robbinsdale-Hopkins-Mound Westonka, seeking its sixth consecutive adapted soccer state title, knocked off Minneapolis South 11-2 in the quarterfinals of the tournament's PI division Friday at Stillwater High School.

The Robins will face South Suburban, which defeated Mounds View-Irondale-Roseville 16-5, in the semifinals on Saturday.

In the other bracket, Dakota United ran past Park Center 14-3 to advance to the semifinals against Anoka-Hennepin, which blanked St. Paul Highland Park 10-0.

In the CI division, Anoka-Hennepin defeated Chaska-Chanhassen-Prior Lake-Shakopee 6-1. The Mustangs will play Burnsville-Farmington-Lakeville, which defeated North Suburban 12-3. Park Center, which defeated Stillwater 9-4, will play South Washington County, which defeated Mounds View-Irondale-Roseville 9-0.
