Every weekday, we walk you through what’s going on with the Vikings.

— My colleague Mark Craig provided an early look at the Chiefs, and he didn’t like what he saw, especially not from quarterback Alex Smith.

— Even though the Chiefs have lost four straight games and star running back Jamaal Charles, the Vikings are still wary of Sunday’s opponent.

— On this week’s Access Vikings podcast, Michael Rand and I talked about Stefon Diggs and the otherwise banged-up receiver group, the team’s need to go on a run over the next month and options on the offensive line.

— Second-year running back Charcandrick West, who will split time in the Chiefs backfield with Knile Davis, is ready to step up with Charles out.

— The Chiefs made a bunch of minor roster moves yesterday.

— Kansas City’s locker-room leaders say the Chiefs aren’t done fighting.

Coach Mike Zimmer and quarterback Teddy Bridgewater are set to be on the podium after the walkthrough. Then the Vikings practice at 1 p.m.

Cornerback Josh Robinson has become a forgotten man after suffering a partially torn pectoral muscle during spring workouts. But he is eligible to be activated from the physically-unable-to-perform list next week. He is optimistic about where he stands physically, but the Vikings must make a decision when it comes to deciding whether to activate him. To do so, they will have to create a roster spot. They currently have six cornerbacks on the roster. One of them is Jabari Price, who has not been activated in the two games since he served his two-game NFL suspension. The Vikings could also opt to cut ties with Robinson, but that would be a risk. Sure, they are pretty deep at that critical position right now, but that can change in a flash.
