Every weekday, we walk you through what's going on with the Vikings.

WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED

— It took a little while for Adrian Peterson to get over his anger from the 49ers loss, but the Vikings running back hit the reset button yesterday.

— Like coach Mike Zimmer, his coordinators are only talking about Detroit.

— Offensive coordinator Norv Turner didn't have much to say yesterday, but he did acknowledge that his offensive line needs to block better.

— Left tackle Matt Kalil was one bright spot from the loss to the 49ers, and he let reporters know that he thought he played "great" in that game.

— Eagan native Zach Zenner will return home this weekend with the Lions.

BEHIND ENEMY LINES

— Lions middle linebacker Stephen Tulloch did not play last week against the Chargers, and the coaching staff said it's not because of injury.

— Detroit offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi has been under a lot of scrutiny this week, but the Lions don't believe his play-calling is an issue.

— Detroit wide receiver Golden Tate is dealing with a quad injury, but the Lions say that it won't keep them from using him as a punt returner.

TODAY'S VIKINGS SCHEDULE

The Vikings practice at 11 a.m. After practice, the locker room will be open as players chow down and Zimmer is on the podium.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

The Vikings have a bunch of issues and they will need to sort some of them out if they want to beat the Lions this week. But at least they have history on their side. The Lions have struggled when making the trip up to the Twin Cities, having lost 15 of their 17 visits. Then again, the Lions manhandled the Vikings at TCF Bank Stadium last year and also beat them at the Metrodome in 2011, so maybe their fortunes here are turning. Still, in a game between a pair of rivals with 0-1 records, it's a good thing the Vikings are back at home.
