BEHIND ENEMY LINES

— Bills RB C.J. Spiller played just 12 snaps in their loss to the Patriots on Sunday.

— LB Brandon Spikes talked a lot of trash to the Patriots, but the Bills didn't back it up.

TODAY'S VIKINGS SCHEDULE

The Vikings have the day off, but their players will be very active in the community. The Vikings are teaming up for with the American Cancer Society for its fourth annual "A Crucial Catch" breast cancer awareness luncheon, and QB Teddy Bridgewater is the headliner. In the evening, Smith will host his annual "Kickball Classic" with the local chapter of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

Early in training camp, I wrote a blog about how Turner has strayed away from using fullbacks in his offenses in recent seasons and wondered how that might affect FB Jerome Felton. I think we have our answer. Felton played a season-low five offensive snaps against the Lions and has been on the field for just 58 of the 335 offensive plays this season. That is fewer snaps than WR Adam Thielen, TE Chase Ford and even QB Christian Ponder, who has played in just one game.
