Every weekday, we walk you through what's going on with the Vikings.

WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED

— Mike Harris has only played guard for a couple of months, but so far the converted offensive tackle has looked comfortable at his new position.

— Left guard Brandon Fusco missed practice yesterday due to a concussion.

— As a student of offensive coordinator Norv Turner, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has seen plenty of film of Chargers QB Philip Rivers.

— Rookie cornerback Trae Waynes is preparing to go up against his good friend Melvin Gordon, now a rookie running back for the Chargers.

— Upon further review, outside linebacker Anthony Barr wasn't as dumb as his coach thought he was after his personal foul penalty on Sunday.

— Here are five Vikings stats that stand out this week, including noteworthy numbers for Adrian Peterson, Xavier Rhodes and Everson Griffen.

BEHIND ENEMY LINES

— Peterson told San Diego reporters that he sees himself in Gordon.

— The Chargers are looking to get their pass rush going against the Vikings this weekend after recording just one sack in their first two games.

— The Chargers, already playing without suspended tight end Antonio Gates, might also be without concussed tight end Ladarius Green.

TODAY'S VIKINGS SCHEDULE

The coordinators will be on the podium at 11 a.m. and the locker room will be open to the media at that time, too. Practice starts at 1 p.m.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

No Vikings offensive skill player has gotten more snaps than wide receiver Charles Johnson, who has played all but six this season. But Johnson ranks fifth on the team in receiving yards (37) and is tied for third in receptions (five). So what's up with that? Well, Bridgewater has completed just 37 passes, which is tied for 21st in the league. And nine different receivers have gotten into the act. Still, it's a little surprising that Johnson has not been more involved, though I suspect that it won't stay that way for long.
