Access Vikings morning walkthrough: Floyd wants to give Joseph one of his toes, instability at safety and more

WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED

— The Vikings were back on the field yesterday. Safety Andrew Sendejo participated in practice but nose tackle Linval Joseph, outside linebacker Anthony Barr and safety Harrison Smith did not join their teammates.

— With Joseph still out with a toe injury, the Vikings worked out a pair of nose tackles, including former Browns first-round pick Phil Taylor.

— No one is missing Joseph more than defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd, who said he is willing to give Joseph one of his toes to get him back.

— Veteran corner Terence Newman is open-minded about playing safety.

— One could argue that kickers have never been more important in NFL history, but with better kickers come greater expectations.

— Despite his struggles, the Bears should stick by kicker Robbie Gould.

— The Bears officially shut down first-round pick Kevin White for the rest of 2015. The rookie receiver didn't play a single snap this season.

— With an eye for next season, the Bears worked a bunch of guys out.

TODAY'S VIKINGS SCHEDULE
