Every weekday, we walk you through what's going on with the Vikings.
WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED
— The Vikings have showcased great depth during the first seven weeks of the season. On Monday, coach Mike Zimmer indicated the team might have to lean on that depth even more when announcing that center John Sullivan re-injured himself and defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd had cartilage removed from his knee.
— Defensive tackle Linval Joseph might be the best nose tackle that Zimmer has ever coached. The Vikings coach got excited when given the chance to highlight his nose tackle on Monday.
— The Vikings hope to end long losing streak in Chicago on Sunday. They haven't won in the Windy City since 2007.
BEHIND ENEMY LINES
— Chicago coach John Fox downplays the drama surrounding Jeremiah Ratliff's release. Ratliff, an 11-year NFL veteran, showed up to practice last week in no condition to work and was soon let go.
