About the Schwan's USA Cup

What: The 27th annual Schwan's USA Cup is the largest youth soccer tournament in the Western Hemisphere. This year the event will feature 942 teams from 20 states and 17 countries. More than 500 referees will work the tournament. All games are free and open to the public.

Where: The tournament occurs on 48 soccer fields at the National Sports Center in Blaine.

Who: Boys' and girls' teams in age divisions ranging from 9-and-under to 19-and-under will participate.

When: Matches begin after the Olympic-style opening ceremonies Tuesday and continue through the championship rounds Saturday. Each team starts with group-stage play, and the top teams in each pool advance to the single-elimination bracket round.
