About that Simpsons opening last night . . .

The Simpsons used to be my favorite TV show, but I stopped watching years ago. You know that episode where Homer bangs angrily on the TV and shouts "BE MORE FUNNY!" Yeah. Like that. The show turned into a parade of celebrity appearances, the animation got better, and it lost the qualities that gave the best seasons a heart as well as a wicked wit. It got preachy, too.

Anyway: there have been reports of unhappy working conditions in the South Korean animation studio where the Simpsons is cranked out. Guest opening-credits director "Banksy," a British artist who works in the medium of spray paint and stencils, produced a response. If you didn't see it, behold one of the strangest things on TV last night:

So . . . an admission things are bad, or a disdainful response that mocks the criticism? The BBC reports:
